Welcome to Visitors

Greetings. I am Clawface, the Alpha of these parts. I can see you're unfamiliar with my territory, yes? Come along. You'll find something similar to hospitality inside our camp, though not for more than a night or two or you'll start getting dirty looks. Our pack is among the largest and strongest of packs. We are not your average softhearted puppy-pets, as are many of our... ahem... cousins, but rather stonehearted warriors who do not and will not hesitate to defend each other at the cost of our lives. It would be a good idea for you to keep your intentions and destinations to yourself. More than one of us is suspicious of any and all strangers. So go ahead and take a look around. Grab a bite to eat when the crabbier packmates, including myself, aren't watching, take a swim at the falls... whatever, for all I care. Just don't be here tomorrow unless you want to join us! We'll see about that.

Falls
Come here to take a swim...who knows what strange objects lie at the bottom?

    Romeo picked his way down the falls cautiously. He glanced up at the moon.
    Almost time.., Romeo thought. Suddenly, he heard a rustle in the bushes. He spun around, fangs bared, but relaxed instantly when he saw who it was.
    "Heather!", Romeo barked. The light brown she-wolf stepped out of the bushes, the moon glowing of of her fur.
    "It's been too long," Heather smiled.
    "Are you ok? How is your father? Is he-"
    "Don't talk about my father! I don't want to worry about him."
    "If you come with us, you won't have to."
    "We've been through this before. I can't be accepted anywhere because of who-", She looked down at her paws. "What I am."
    "Do you think I care? I want you to come with me."
    "I-I can't. I have to go. My father will miss me.", Heather turned and bounded into the shadows, leaving Romeo feeling more alone than he had before.

    Twister was slipping among the trees, scenting for prey. She had habits as unusual as her black and white appearance, one of which was an odd hunting schedule.
    Presently she came to the Falls. She pricked her ears. She could hear voices coming from nearby, and she froze. The hunter watched two wolves converse with each other nearby. She thought she recognized one of the silver-outlined figures. It looked like...Romeo? She flattened her ears slightly as she tried to see the other figure. But it was unrecognizable. Not of Moonpack.
    She watched as the strange wolf darted back into the bushes. She waited to see what Romeo would do.

    Romeo bounded down the slope of the waterfall, pausing once to taste the air tentatively. Did he smell a wolf.......
    No, it was probably just his imagination. Romeo disappeared into the forest, heading in the direction of the camp.

    Twister relaxed when Romeo headed back toward the camp. She waited for a moment, then emerged from the trees. She flicked her ears once.
    "What a strange smell. Where could that other wolf be from?" She wondered. She shook her head and continued her search for prey.

    Later, she had caught a late-night mouse and a vole. She quietly headed to the prey-pile, kepping one sharp eye out for Romeo. "He's probaby already asleep," she thought.

    Comet emerged from the bushes and into the clearing. The falls sparkled brightly in front of him and made a spalshing, roaring sound as they hit the water beneath. Comet looked at Aurora. "Here we are."

    Comet couldn't hold the beautiful stare. He looked down. "Um...hungry? There should be some fresh fish down there somewhere. Don't know how warm the water is though." He smiled a little, looking up at the pretty white she-wolf with just his eyes.

    Aurora chuckled and waded into the water, shivering a bit. She plunged down, head first and resurfaced with a shiny fish in her jaws. She tossed it towards Comet and it landed at his paws. "Better get it now before it gets back in the water" She chuckled.

    Comet watched, surprised. For a guard she was a good hunter.
    His own Hunter's instincts kicked in and he pounced on the fish, sinking his teeth into it. It wriggled once as he lifted it, and then fell limp. He tilted his head a little. "Share?" The word was muffled coming through the fish.

    Aurora bounded out of the water towards him and ripped some meat from the fish. Water splattered everywhere, including all over Comet. "Oh sorry" She giggled. She licked his fur dry. Her tongue rasped across his fur smoothly.

    Comet gave his head a shake as Aururoa clamped onto it, tearing the fish in half. he felt his fur prickle as Aurora licked him. He wagged his tail and nosed her gently in an affectionate thankyou.

    Aurora blinked her eyes open. She yawned and got up and stretched each of her legs. She looked down at Comet who was still asleep. Aurora gently licked his cheek. Should I ask him to be my mate? She thought, or wait for him to ask me?

    Comet was flying among the stars on silver wings, a beautiful white she-wolf with familiar violet eyes at his side. He looked into her eyes...
    He felt a light lick on the cheek, and he awoke to find himself looking into the same face as the one in his dream. The eyes were like deep pools of violet, nothing he had ever seen before. He wagged his tail a little.

    Comet blinked sleepily in the sun. "Good morning..."
    She was just too pretty to ignore. He was surprised someone else hadn't already claimed her. He certainly was lucky...
    Then he shook himself. What was he thinking? She wasn't his mate!
    Yet.
    He pondered that thought. Should he ask her to be his mate? Or would it just be too awkward? Was now the right time? The right place? So many questions, and all of them unanswered....
    He shook his head. Now was as good a time as any. He sat up and ruffled his fur a little, trying not to look as nervous as he felt. "Aurora...um...will you....arrgh." It was wrong, it was all wrong! Where were the right words when he needed them?

    Comet studied the tips of his front paws for a moment. He flicked his eyes up to meet hers just for a moment. She was so bright she almost looked like an angel.

    Comet rolled over with a spash into the water. The water roared into his ears and covered his face, and then disappeared again as he surfaced. He barked happily. His ears, weighed down with watersoaked fur, flopped in his face in a very cute way.

    Little silvery bubbles floated around Comet's eyes as he went under the water again. He could feel Arora on top of him. He poked his nose above the water and took a breath, then went under again. Little currents ruffled through his floaty pelt and he shivered slightly.

    Aurora's head broke the surface off the water. She swam back to the bank and shook her coat as she got out onto the bank. she stretched her lean legs and then turned to face Comet, love and adoration in her purple eyes.

    Comet trailed after Aurora. Water streamed off his pelt and it hang down in his chest, making him look rather skinny. He gave his coat a shake, sending little drops of water everywhere. He looked up at Aurora and blinked hopefully.

    Aurora gazed at Comet. He's my mate! She thought happily.

    Aurora started to think about what their future together would hold. Running together, side by side through the forest, eating together at the end of a long day, sleeping next to him, curled up together, having pups one day-

    Pups?! She thought, snapping out of her thoughts, He's only been my mate since sunrise! I must be mad if I'm thinking about this already! She shook her head fustratedly. Maybe pups wouldnt be a completley mad idea...

    Comet rolled over on the dry grass, exposing his white chest. He wriggled around a little, as he had and itch, then rose, shaking bits of dry grass from his fur. He grinned at Aurora. Her fur was certainly bright! Almost blinding...somewhat like an angel...

    The wind roared in Comet's ears and blew them backwards. He let his tongue hang out and it flopped crazily. XD He skidded to a stop when he came to a small loop in the river, just barely avoiding falling in.

    Comet chuckled. "Will do. Be right back..." he turned and disappeared into the brush, scenting quietly for a 'nice doe'. He soon picked up a nice fresh scent, mixed with the fresh smell of Thunder and Alado. They must've gone to the Falls as well.
    Comet grinned slightly to himself. A pair in the making. How cute. He continued on, and in a short time had spotted and taken down a fat young doe. He grabbed it by one leg and dragged it back toward Aurora, breathing heavily.

    Comet dropped his prey and flopped over with a sigh. "Thanks." He grinned and wagged his tail.
    After a minute he heaved himself off his lazy butt and also nosed into the deer. He soon had one leg, and set to knawing on that intently. Amid bites, he said "We'll take whatever's left to the prey-pile when we're done....if there's any left at all! This thing tastes great!"

    "It is good" Aurora agreed. Her eating got slower as she gradually grew full. There was still plenty of meat left. She lay down on her side, her white fur staining with dirt and the blood from the meal.

    "Jasper!" She yelped as she saw him splash. She ran to the edge of the water and jumped in; diving under water and searching for his pale grey pelt. She spotted it and pulled him up by the scruff and lead him to the shore. "Are you OK?" She asked as she coughed water out.

    The badger either didn't understand or didn't listen. It charged toward the she-wolf. But it's mind was on the other one. He looked weaker, easier to beat. Anything to eat would do, even if it was the scrawny meat from a skinny Omega.

    The badgers, seeing their opponents flee, chased after them.

    ((Just go somewhere where somebody else is for backup. Thunder and Alado are at the border patrol taking a walk.
