He trotted happily with his huge catch of 2 mice, 1 vole, and 2 rabbits. He chose a squirrle for himself and started to get it,tearing of bit of flesh.

Twister approached the Prey-pile and dropped a mouse and a vole on top.
ReplyDeleteAmber drags in a young buck, it's horns digging into her pelt as she threw it onto the pile and shook the blood off her creamy fur.
ReplyDeleteSky followed Amber and placed his buck with hers he grabbed a squirrel and turned to Amber. "Do you want to share?" He barked and layed down with a spot beside him for her.

Angel whipped around at the sound of Skeet. "What do you want?" she growled somewhat halfheartedly. "Why don't you go visit your beloved Twister?" Angel sighed and flopped down, her head spinning.
ReplyDeleteTumbleweed watched Angel and Skeet silently from a distance. She sighed quietly. She knew this wasn't working, and she didn't think it would.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, Tumbleweed knew everything, about nearly everyone, in the pack, from simple but close observation. Twister likely did have feelings for Skeet, however protestant of them she was. Tumbleweed couldn't be positive, but she was convinced.
Tumbleweed saw movement out of the corner of her eye and watched quietly as that new wolf, Jazz, padded towards the Willow Tree. She was tempted to say something, but hearing the rather indignant tone in Angel's voice decided now was not a good time to intrude.
He flattened his ears to where they shaped his head perfectly. "Well...I just wanted to say...that I am sorry it didn't work out...Hope you find a mate..." he sighed and walked towards the WillowTree past Tumbleweed.

Angel's eyes widened. This was NOT the answer she was expecting to hear! (LOL). She hovered at the edge of the Pile, wondering whether to head after him or not. She eventually decided to follow him, track him, without him knowing.
ReplyDeleteTumbleweed saw her chance. She padded up to Angel and murmured "Go to the Willow Tree....someone else waits there...." she darted off, out of the camp before Angel had time to say anything.
ReplyDeleteAngel blinked. What did Tumbleweed mean? But she turned and, dazed, headed to the Willow Tree in a different direction from Skeet.

She has embaressed herself infront of the alpha and hunters. "I can't do this anymore.." She sighed and floopped down.

"No!" She howled as she looked back to see Jasper run away and the snake slither towards the apprentice den. She ran as fast as she could to stop it. When she got to the snake she grabbed it in her mouth and bit down, hard.

Twister mustered up her courage and moved quietly over next to Skeet.

Seeing he was about to eat his lunch, she added "No hurry. I'll wait."
Skeet nodded, his eyes empty and dark "Sure, sure" he ate at his mouse quickly then looked up to Twister "What is it?"
ReplyDeleteTwister shifted from paw to paw. "This isn't the best place.....can we go somewhere....alone?" She felt utterly stupid, so unprepared. "I probably sound like the biggest deer-brain in the world..." she growled to herself.

ReplyDeleteNiagara had retreated from the Apprentice's Den, knowing it was no good to sulk. Now she had tracked Jasper and Whisper to the Prey-Pile where she had first had the idea to be Jasper's friend. And now she had overheard everything. Jasper liked Whisper. Whisper liked Jasper. And she didn't fit in anywhere. She stepped out of the cover and said, "I know how you feel. Jasper, I think you've been ignoring me for too long now. I tried to be friends. I tried to be nice. And I just get ignored." Shaking her head, Niagara buried her muzzle into a caribou and began to eat. She felt empty inside, and she needed something to fill that gap.

Huit growled at his sister playfully and leaped for, though his unsteady paws spilled out and he fell to the ground in a heap. He glanced at the older wolves feeling his cheeks go hot. He got up and shook it off. Padding up to Whisper he said, "Do you know where our father is? He's gunna teach us some hunting moves!" He hooked the vole in his claws and tossed it at Rain.

"Comet? I don't know. Maybe he is with your mother in the nursery." She suggested. "Do you know hunting moves already? Or does the prey know all the hunting moves?" She chuckled looking at the vole that had landed on Huit.

Rain skittered out of the way as Huit went for her, realizing too late that it wasn't really necessary.
ReplyDelete"Clumsy lump!" She barked happily.
Suddenly a vole came at her and slapped right into her face.
"?!?!?!?" She shook her head, ears flopping, and took a swipe at the vole with one paw, flopping it a few tail-lengths away.
"The only thing we know how to hunt is already caught prey," she giggled.
Jasper eyed the small pups but didn't make a move to go and talk to them, he was already ruffled up as it was!
ReplyDeleteShe smiled. "I bet you will do well with your hunting lesson. Just don't play with your food a lot." She gave a little laugh and nudged Jasper. "Afraid of a little pup?" She whispered with a chuckle.

She stopped to a halt when she appreared in the clearing. She looked behind her to see if Thunder was still behind her.

"Actually yes, Omegas are the punching bags, play-things, and chewing posts for pups. Frankly I thought I was almost done with them, now two whole litters (?) was born" Jasper almost growled and looked away from the pups.
ReplyDeleteThunder crashed threw the small entrance, toppling head of heels two times. "Ow! I think I bit my tongue!" he whimpered sticking out his tongue, letting it fall to the side.

She laughed. "How do you fall in camp?" She asked. "And you bit your tounge?" She tried to hold in her laughter but couldn't help it.

Jasper shrugged and growled still looking down.
ReplyDeleteThunder shrugged then winced "I thing I pulled a muscle too!" he whimpered when his word moved his tongue around "Owww!" he howled.
She nudged him with her nose. "Cheer up."

Sensing it was serious she padded over to him. Nosing his pelt. "Does it hurt a lot?" She asked.

"Fine, but don't expect me to go prancing around playing with the pups in the dandelions!" Jasper perked up picturing it in his head.
ReplyDelete"Yeshhh" Thunder said trying not to say much, his pelt twitching trying to loosen up.
Huit pelted across to Rain. "Lets see if he's in the hunter's den!" He barked excitedly. He ran over and peered inside.

Niagara snorted. "Why are you so afraid of pups?" she asked. Then she added in little less then a sour tone, "I'm little more then one myself. I bet you think I'm weird cause I want to make friends."

"You? Abandon? I thought we were talking about pups! What are you talking about??" Jaspers eyes widened he he scooted back a bit.
ReplyDeleteShe looked at Jasper and then to Niagara. "I see you have things to talk about, I will go see if Alado is hungry." She got up and trotted towards Alado.

ReplyDeleteAlado looked at Whisper. "Nope, I'm not, I was thinking about going to the falls." She got up and left.
ReplyDeleteWhisper turned back, hearing Jasper. "What is it?" She asked.
"Don't leave!" Jasper pleaded taking a sharp look at the apprentice.
ReplyDeleteThunder shrugged and watched her go, he had an apprentice to train anyway.
She smiled. "I don't think I should stay. Anyways why don't you want me to go. I thought you were an omega which means to you: no company aloud..." She stopped. "Besides, I will be over hear if you need me." Whisper pointed to the other side of the clearing before she walked away, grabbing a vole as she passed.
