Comet licked one paw quietly. He wasn't really focusing on it, though. He was watching the other she-wolves.

He strode into the clearing puffing out his chest a bit. He streched his muscels until they were tight then lossened them into they were loose. He sat down and scanned the clearing. Just about 3 dogs were here and none of them sparked any intrest. He sighed he was hoping for a partner. Swiping a paw over his tail he got up and strode back out the clearing and swiftly back into the forest.

Twister was watching him quietly from the entrance to the Hunter's den. She flicked her ear once as he breezed past. He was rather cute.
ReplyDeleteAurora was washing her pure white fur. He unuasal purple eyes kept darting to catch a glimpse of Comet. He's really attractive She thought shyly. Aurora got up and walked over to him. "Hi Comet" She said shyly, looking at her paws.

Looking around his hopes dropped know 4 dogs were in the clearing, but the 1 new female dog was talking to Coment and she didnt spark any intrest. Tail swishing sadly in the open air he retreated back to the Hunters Den.

Aurora smiled at him, her tail wagging vigorously. All her former shyness disapearing. "Comet I really like you" She barked happily. She realised she'd said to much and looked back down at her paws.

ReplyDeleteTwister gave a mild sigh. She couldn't sleep, so she stood and padded over to the entrance of the den. She looked out into the clearing. Alado, Ginger, Thunder....they were all looking for mates...
He looked up at a rustling at the entrance. Twister an odd wolf had padded into the clearing. Was she the one? He didnt know... "Hey Twister!" he barked from his rock and flicked his tail for her to come and sit down.

Twister tilted her head slightly. "Hello..." She decided sitting next to him couldn't hurt, so she trotted over and sat next to him, curling her tail around her white front paws like a cat.

Thunder is obvoiusly in love with Twister, Rouge and Venom are just plain MEAN... Ginger sighed unhappily. Maybe she would have been better off as a loner... She got up and padded out of the clearing, her tail drooped.

Prancing into the meadow he danced around showing her fur off to the other dogs in the clearing, showing off a tiny bit. Throwing her peachy tail of her back he sat down in the grass looking eagerly across the clearing at other dogs.

"See ya" he grunted and padded off briskly. He broke into a run near the end and...CRASH...he hit a tree head on. He stumbled around and fell to the ground a tiny trickle of blodd at his forhead. "Owwww" he whined and flicked the drops away then he got up a shook his pelt, a bit ambarrased... He took off into a run to the Hunters Den

Venom was watching the other wolves from the entrance to the Guard's den. His eyes followed Ginger as she left with a downcast look. She certainly was attractive. He stood, and trotted after her.
Angel glanced at all the wolves around her. Venom would make a good mate, she thought. Then she spotted Skeet, and her heart melted. No-one was yet interested in this handsome wolf, so Angel found her paws padding after him. "Hey, Skeet," she called. Skeet turned around and blinked. "Want to go hunting later on?"

Gentleheart watched her friend pad after Skeet. He was a handsome wolf. Gentleheart suddenly noticed Crow, sitting all alone. She cocked her head sideways at him. He was very attractive. Gentleheart padded up to him, calling a greeting, feeling her fur burn. Crow nodded back, but Gentleheart couldn't read his expression.

ReplyDeleteVenom heard a growl behind him, and he glanced back. he showed a couple of fangs from the corner of his mouth. "Don't test me, Hunter. She's too beautiful to ignore." He continued on. Ginger had sat down by the prey-pile, but she seemed nervous. Venom felt a pinprick of guilt and slowed his pace. She was afraid of him? Perhaps he shouldn't pursue her... maybe Angel would make a better mate.

Twister watched, feeling a twinge of envy as Angel went over to Skeet. She twitched her tail slightly, oddly similar to that of a cat. Then she shook herself. What was she thinking? Why was she feeling jealous? Her own emotions both amused and disgusted her, and she said nothing.
Alado watched from envious eyes. Why were all the wolves getting mates all of a sudden? I thought i was pretty, i guess i was wrong. She thought bitterly and sat by herself.

Venom felt both ticked and defeated. This was a feeling he strongly disliked. Spiral had obviously 'claimed' Ginger, or at least squeezed anyone else out of the picture for the moment. He turned, and moved away with considerable arrogance. He headed abck the way he had come, and soon spotted Alado. She was new, but she had some sort of gentleness about her that drew him closer. He wagged his tail slightly.

Twister sighed, and rested her chin on her paws. She was just too weird for anyone to find a whole lot of interest in her. Not that she found anything wrong with herself personally, but her odd coloring added to her strange personality and habits was just a bad combo for finding a mate, she supposed.
((Food for thought: There are more females looking for mates than males (and one or two of those males aren't very active). If you want a mate, you'd better work for one!))
Alado saw Venom looking at her and blushed. Everyone saw his fierce side she thought. You need to get to know wolf for who they are in the inside. "Hi Venom". She smiled cheerfully and waved her tail for him to sit down.

His fur tingled when Angle pressed her fur into his. Her white fur was very beautiful, why hadn't he seen her like this before? It sure would have saved a lot of time. Then Twister...was she jealous? If he was a she-wolf he would have know, but he was just a typical male after all. He blinked at her then moved his head away.

Venom moved on, seeing Sunray was following him. He nodded to the first few dens, the Hunter's, Guards, and the Alpha's without much comment other than mentioning what it was and who slept there. He watched Sunray carefully. She was rather attractive, in an odd way.
"Well, i hate my pelt, its no use in hunting, i can be seen for miles away!" She laughed. "Like i always say, i wish it were sady brown or black to match the forest." Alado smiled and thought deeply.

'he is looks like a good hearted wolf' thought Amber as she gets up and shakes her pelt, 'I like him' she nods once agreeing with Sky and agreeing with her opinion befor leaping foward and racing into the undergrowth, "your going to have to be faster than that!" she barks over her shoulder, her creamy white pelt fast dissapering in the direction of the hunting grounds, she has never been there but follows her nose and finds the hunting grounds quickly.

He sat down and watched Amber from the other side of the cleating. 'Yes' he thought, 'she is a beautiful wolf, but better then that she has a good personality, and i cant change my mind about her.' Runo trotted into the clearing underneath the willow tree. His multi-shaded brown pelt shone dully in the green light that filtered through the willow branches. He sat down near the edge of the clearing and looked around, unsure.
He shrugged and looked at Alado then back out at the clearing, sighing as he did so. Maybe his mate would come later...

Alado rolled her eyes. "Of course she will come before StarPack! Besides your way to young to go to StarPack and it will be way sooner that a she-wolf will come! I promise!" She chuckled lightly and smiled. "Just need to get a male for myself to." She added humoursly.

Her eyes blazed. "It was NOT fun, it was horrible. And carrying that creeps pups." She shook her head and then lowered her gaze. "They died though, i didnt blame them for their father, but he killed them in cold blood. And i want a wolf who is opposite of that! Someone who actually CARES about me, not use me." Alado looked at her paws again and a tear fell in the dust below her.

"Thank you, and i hope they arent like that either... and the pups.. well im sorry about that too, i just wish for a mate, not being alone, before i came here, i WAS alone, no one to help me hunt, it was a hard life, and im glad i found Clawface and you." She smiled. "Im glad your my friend."
ReplyDeleteHe smiled slightly pulling his lips up into a small smile. "Sounds tough, wish I could sympathize, I was a rouge for a while but I guess males are better at hunting then she-wolves ,huh? Clawface sure does run a nice pack, my other pack was fine but I was a new hunter, just new from being a learner and I wanted to show everyone that I could do anything...So I wandered around and found this little pack, it's getting bigger by the day and once all the she-wolves find their mates we are going to have a lot of little pups running around! I'm quite proud of this pack if I do say so myself." he grunted "Glad to have you as a friend too."

ReplyDeleteRuno pricked one ear, listening to Alado and Thunder's conversation. Poor girl. He waited silently, curious as to what the talk would lead to.
Alado smiled. "Yea males are better hunters..." She rolled her eyes. "But technically they can take bigger deer and caribou." She chuckled and shivered as a breeze swept through her fur.

Runo sighed and curled into a ball, covering the end of his nose with his tail. He watched Thunder and Alado curiously. Alado certainly was pretty.
Alado laughed. "Im saying you should follow your heart! See if it leads you to the right wolf. If it doesn't i will always be here for you. You are my best friend Thunder!" She smiled at him and see what he would to next.

She chuckled. "Maybe she was. Ther must be atleast ONE wolf here for you!" She tried helping him. "But you need to open your eyes and look around you, it's kind of like hunting. A vole would not jump right in your paws, and neither will a she-wolf." She laughed and nudged him gently.

Runo still watched Alado as her and Thunder went off. Thunder was lucky. Alado was prettier than any wolf he had ever seen. Sadly she already seemed to be taken. Runo rested his head on his paws and waited for someone else to come into the clearing. Then he noticed Ash.
"Hello." He barked a greeting.
He sighed slightly. The only other she-wolf in the clearing was Twister. She sparked no interest whatsoever. She was just too weird. He wondered if any of the other she-wolves would come into the clearing.

Clawface padded into the clearing under the willow tree after Ash. She sat down near the edge without a word and scanned the other wolves with her blazing yellow eyes.
Ash looked around, "Hi! He barked back", then he notices Twister, he blinks surprised, why hadn't he noticed her? She cirtainly was pretty... Ash realised he had been staring and looks away quickly, embarrased.

From the shadows, Clawface siletly watched Skeet and Jazz enter. She didn't move. But she felt a very slight twinge of pity for Skeet. He must have gotten in a scrabble with Angel.
ReplyDeleteClawface quietly watched the other wolves under the willow tree. While there was no evidence of emotion of any kind on her face, she was actually, rather absently matchmaking. Some of the wolves around there would make some very cute couples.
Angel entered the clearing, wondering who Tumbleweed had been talking about. But then she quickly spotted Jazz. And Skeet. She growled under her breath. She wanted nothing to do with Skeet, nothing at all! Instead, she turned her back on him and padded towards Jazz. "Hey," she said, unsure whether this was such a good idea after what had happened between her and Skeet.
ReplyDeleteJazz blinked. A she-wolf so suddenly! And she was so pretty, too. "Hi," he barked quietly, blushing.
ReplyDeleteAngel nodded back. She shuffled her paws. There was a gap in her heart that Skeet had previously filled, a gap that her old mate, Sash, had filled. She still remembered his scent, sweet grass mingled with cold fresh snow and ice. Skeet had filled that gap. Would Jazz, too?

ReplyDeleteRuno shuffled his paws and picked himself up. He decided to leave the mate's clearing. Perhaps there were other wolves around who would interest him. Besides, he was more of a solitary wolf, only looking for a mate for a wolf to love. He headed out, his head held high.

ReplyDeleteJazz sighed. This was awkward, but beacuse of his nature he nudged Angel gently. "Want to go on a hunting patrol?" he asked softly.
Angel nodded. She'd love to leave Skeet and this place behind. "Let's go!" she called, the ache in her heart slowly filling up with Jazz's sweet scent and personality.
