ReplyDeleteHe squeezed through and found his nest quickly. Not wanting to talk to any other dogs he closed his eyes shut and fell asleep. All his dreams were filled with a preety white she-wolf with an odd grey stripe on the middle of her back...

Twister's dark eyes followed Thunder as he trotted past her and curled into his nest.
ReplyDeleteShe buried her white nose in her paws and closed her eyes as well. She half-rolled onto her blackish-gray back and went to sleep.
Twister rose, feeling restless, and slipped outside the den. She nosed around the prey-pile. There was nothing of interest (or that looked tasty) so she headed out to catch something.

Twisting and turning in his nest, he no longer felt comfortable. Getting up and streaching he looked around the den. Twister had just left and Rusty was sleeping. Hmmm. He shook his ruffled pelt and sat down in his nest.

Alado came in yawning, she was tired of not having someone special while otehr wolves around her did so when she drifted off to sleep her dreams where filled of love-sick wolves.
ReplyDeleteSpiral and Raindancer trotted in together. They had become close friends over the moons and now were rarely seen apart. Raindancer yawned and stretched, Spiral padding over to his own nest. The two had just gone hunting, and were exhausted and exhilerated all at the same time.

ReplyDeleteGuilt twisting and scratching at her heart like a rabid badger, Twister paused outside the entrance of the den. Would it really be a good idea to go in? She could hear him muttering to himself in there, though she couldn't make it out as anything but jibberish.

Ash smelled Twister, he looked up but only saw her leaving, "Probably just trying to avoid me" he said sadly and layed his head on his paws he listend to the sounds outside but wasn't really comprehending what they where, his mind was far away.
ReplyDeleteAshe padded in, "Well here is the Hunters Den... There...There is an empty space next to mine if you want" he said then something distant came to his ears, it sounded like Twister and Skeet, instancly his ears flattend and his fur bristled.

Ash glanced at Moonshine and forced his ears up and his fur down, "It's complicated" he said stiffly.

ReplyDeleteHuit peered his small head into the Hunter's Den. "Can you see or scent him Rain?" He whispered to his sister beside him.
Rain poked her head in beside him. Some of the wolves had gathered for a hunting patrol. Looking around, she caught sight of a familiar gray and white pelt. "There he is!"
ReplyDeleteComet raised his head from where he had been resting it on the ground. "Hey you two," he barked, pleased to see his pups up and about.
Shear growled and moved away from the other wolves "When are we leaving? The prey will grow old and die if we don't go out soon"
ReplyDeleteHuit bounded over to his father, forgetting he wasn't aloud in the Hunters Den. "Can you teach us some hunting moves? I'm going to be a hunter when I'm older!" He barked raising his head proudly.

Comet chuckled, rolling over so his son could jump on him.
ReplyDeleteRain pattered in after Huit, though in a much slower and calmer way. She perched next to him, her paws together, and tilted her head at him. "Will you? Please?"
Comet sighed, looking at Rain upside down from where he lay on his back. "All right, all right. I suppose I could show you a few things." He paused. "But don't get any ideas about using them yet. You know pups aren't supposed to hunt. Still, I'll show you something and you can practice it."
Huit bounced off his father's belly. "Well what are we waiting for?" He barked, "Lets go!" He raced back out of the den. He treaded the ground with his front paws impatiently.
