THE PACK HAS REOPENED. GO DOWN AND READ THE LAST TWO POSTS RIGHT NOW. LIKE REALLY. RIGHT NOW.

Welcome to Visitors

Greetings. I am Clawface, the Alpha of these parts. I can see you're unfamiliar with my territory, yes? Come along. You'll find something similar to hospitality inside our camp, though not for more than a night or two or you'll start getting dirty looks. Our pack is among the largest and strongest of packs. We are not your average softhearted puppy-pets, as are many of our... ahem... cousins, but rather stonehearted warriors who do not and will not hesitate to defend each other at the cost of our lives. It would be a good idea for you to keep your intentions and destinations to yourself. More than one of us is suspicious of any and all strangers. So go ahead and take a look around. Grab a bite to eat when the crabbier packmates, including myself, aren't watching, take a swim at the falls... whatever, for all I care. Just don't be here tomorrow unless you want to join us! We'll see about that.

Romeo's Duties

Finish your Border Patrol and report back to me in the Alpha's Den.

((... I'd also like for the person who roleplays as Romeo to make your activity known - otherwise you will be taken from your position. I can't have inactive Betas, now can I?))

Sky's Duties

Relieved from duties, for the moment.

(( Kudos to you, Alado/Pebble, for being one of the only people still active here XD ))

Amber's Duties

Relieved from duties for the moment.

((Until your roleplayer shows me he/she is active!))

Newleaf's Call

Clawface blinked her yellow eyes as she crouched, stalking the fat rabbit up ahead in the bushes. The ground was soft with the melting snow of Newleaf, and although she couldn't see it, Clawface knew that the blue sky overhead was cloudless. The sun shone above the treetops and filtered through the leaves, casting the forest in a soft green light. Little sprigs of grass had popped up, and there were buds on the trees where the young leaves would spread from soon.
Clawface pounced on the rabbit. She sank her long sharp teeth into her prey, and it fell motionless. She scraped dirt over the rabbit to collect it later and moved swiftly into the bushes, sniffing for more.
~~~
The she-wolf trotted back into the camp, carrying two rabbits and a squirrel. Her trots were brisk, but she seemed on edge. She dropped her catches into the prey pile and moved firmly towards the Medic's den. Upon pushing her nose past the moss hanging eerily over the entrance, Clawface said "Nanack? Are you here?"
The white medic looked up from where she sat sorting herbs. "Yes, Clawface. What is it?"
"I had a vision." Clawface confessed. "I was stalking some prey when the wind blew, and something appeared in front of me. It was another wolf, no doubt, but she seemed to condense from mist. She was a shining silver color, and she never touched the ground."
"Did she say anything to you?" Nanack's yellow eyes were fixed intently on the Alpha.
"Yes. She whispered into my ear. Something like 'my name is Shadowheart. Beware, Clawface. For when all seems peaceful, nothing is as it seems.' "
Nanack's eyes narrowed. "The message is clear enough. There's some sort of well-hidden conspiracy."
"But who is involved?" Clawface snapped.
Nanack shook her head. "I haven't the faintest idea."
Clawface let out a low growl. "But I intend to find out." She stalked out of the den, her ears lowered. The pack members that had roamed the clearing quickly moved out of her way, half curious and half frightened of the anger that was revealed on her face. Their Alpha vanished inside her cave, and a slight murmuring started up as they wondered what was wrong. It was a peaceful newleaf. The forest was coming to life again.
What could be troubling their alpha?
